Listen, color grading is the soul of storytelling. Light and color don’t just shape an image, they literally shape people’s feelings. That’s how you create magic.
A year ago I released my first color pack. It was a success, but I wasn’t fully convinced. The saturation was often too much, sometimes it worked, but a lot of the time it just blew out the shot, especially skin tones.
So here’s version 2.0. Rebuilt, refined, tested in every kind of environment. Designed for Apple Log and adaptable to any camera. I’ve spent months stabilizing the colors, making them easier to edit on top of instead of fighting against them. Greens, blues, oranges, reds, skin tones all tuned to breathe naturally in just one click.
I’m just lazy. I don’t want to spend three hours on one shot tweaking colors. I’d rather use that time to create. That’s why I built a true one-click PowerGrade.
And guess what I also found a way to convert my PowerGrade into LUTs. Now you can apply the same cinematic look directly on your iPhone in apps like Blackmagic or Liit. Ninety percent of the time I only use these LUTs. The PowerGrade is for when I want to go deep in DaVinci on big projects, but for everything else this workflow saves me hours.
For the ones who don’t know what a PowerGrade is, imagine a recipe. Instead of mixing all the ingredients yourself every time, I’ve already prepared it for you. You just drop it on your video and the colors cook themselves into that cinematic look. If you want, you can still add your own spices on top. But you need DaVinci Resolve for that — even the free version works.
And for videos that aren’t shot in log, I built a new batch of Lightroom presets. They’re adapted for iPhone footage and regular photos too, with a clear balanced look even on non-ProRAW images.
